British Council-IDS Activity-2021

Syna International School in association with the British Council’s “International Dimension in Schools” program performed activities to nurturing global citizenship in students. These activities enable our student awareness about cultures in various countries of the world, languages and people. These activities develop an understanding and responsibilities for environmental and social issues of the world.

IDS Blog Writing activity-2021

1st Activity: “Arts & Culture Unites World”

The 1st activity of the IDS programme was on “Arts & Culture Unites World” which was done in the month of April and June. Activity in-charge was Mr. Shiv Kumar. Due to Covid or pandemic time it was the lockdown period and school was shutdown so that this activity was done online. This activity was In-House Activity and aim of the activity was to study the similarities and differences of arts and culture in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Some of the activities done by students were; group discussion, collage making competition, ppt presentation and dance performance.

2nd Activity: “Mathematics and Global Survival”

This activity was on the topic Mathematics and Global Survival: Teaching global issues through Mathematics. Activity was aims to provide understanding of the critical problems, like drug addiction, poverty and illiteracy that the world is facing today with the help of Mathematics. Activity in-charge teacher was Mr. Rajeev Tiwari. The children did comparative study, on collected data, on the mentioned problems in India, Brazil and Zimbabwe.

3rd Activity:-“The Enigma of communicable diseases- a global catastrophe”

This was a collaborative activity and the topic was “The Enigma of communicable diseases- a global catastrophe”. The primary aim of this activity was to make students aware of various types of deadly diseases in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, caused by microorganisms which can be proven as lethal for human race. Mr. Satish Gupta in-charge of the activity has completed it successfully and the students of Syna International School with the students of DPS Birgunj, Nepal did the activities which was online and shown various causes of communicable diseases in both the countries.
