SIS has introduced karate for the students in the year 2007,so as to cater to the needs of the students interested to be trained in karate. The core ideal of this art is to impart self discipline ,respect for others ,self defense, fitness, self confidence and to adhere to punctuality. The belt exams are conducted on a regular basis for the students to see their potentiality.

Through the power of music students feel motivated to learn and also become more confident speakers in the society. It gives the children something to strive for and to keep on developing. It heightens and stimulates academic performance, logic and coordination. It also facilitates language learning, builds imagination and intellectual curiosity. It is used in the areas of ceremonial purposes, recreational purposes and for artistic expression.

Dance is an art form that has been used as self expression for thousands of years and hasn’t changed to this day. It is always said that ‘Growth never comes from the comfort zone.’ Dancing can be a way to stay fit and healthy. Movement combinations increase memory power, sequencing skills and self esteem. Dance burns calories, strengthens muscles, improves balance and flexibility. Through the creative process students are encouraged to use their imagination, collaborate with their peers to solve problems and discover multiple solutions to challenges coming in their way.

The aim of the press club is to provide the students the knowledge of journalism. The vision of this  club is to educate and empower students in journalistic skills. It gives voice to the students and provides them exposure to the media and broadcast segment. It brings students together outside the classroom to create multimedia productions. The press club acts as a media to highlight the achievements of the school and its students.

SIS has introduced POTTERY in their activity curriculum to help the children in building up their fine motor skills and their brains. It helps with hand-eye coordination, problem solving and creativity. It also gives them a sense of accomplishment and independence through which they learn to create something from scratch.

SIS has introduced ROBOTICS to transmit the knowledge about some educational fields related to electricity, electronics and mechanics,without leaving programming behind to achieve  internalization of enriching content under the idea of learning by playing. This creates the socialization and collaboration of scientific knowledge among the children, for which the desire to innovate more, to think autonomously and consequently their project is awakened in  them.

Due to recent advancement in the information technology innovations and computer usage, the education system is rapidly transforming. Our school SIS uses ICT tools to create, circulate, communicate, record and manage learning experiences and teaching outcomes. The teaching provides technology supported learning therefore computer technology has become an integral part of teaching and learning. The computer session includes basics of HTML, basics of Java Script, hands-on learning of syntax, program construction and debugging.

SIS has introduced Painting in their activity curriculum to foster creative growth and develop skills transferable to academics and life beyond school. We understand that the inclusion of art in our curriculum is vital for students’ growth, self-awareness, and connection with other people and cultures. The painting session includes tribal art like mudhubani, warli, phad, kalamkari, gond painting, kerala murals, Patachitra, pichhwai, expressionism  , abstract art, conceptual art, Hyperrealism, coffee painting and many more… We conduct exhibition to showcase the work of our students.

SIS has introduced Arts and Craft in activity curriculum for all grades to reinforce reasoning, analytical skills, problem solving skills, measurement, and spatial awareness. The Arts and Craft  session includes best out of waste, paper crafts,flower crafts, houseware, ceramics and glass crafts.  Exhibitions are also conducted to showcase the work of our students.
